Perfect infinitive
'Perfect infinitive' en çok type 3 conditional cümleler de 'conditional perfect'in bir parçası olarak kullanılır, ancak diğer yerlerde de kullanılabilir. 'Perfect infinitive' şu şekilde oluşturulur:
to have + geçmiş zaman ortacı
'Present infinitive'de olduğu gibi, 'perfect infinitive'de fiilin 'zero-infinitive' halinin gerekli olduğu durumlar bulunur, bu yüzden to sözcüğü ihmal edilir. Bu durum en çok zaman kipi belirten yardımcı fiillerden sonra, ve 'zero-infinitive' kullanılan diğer durumlarda meydana gelir.
