'Type 2 conditional' cümlelerde, 'present conditional' kipinin devamlı hali kullanılabilir.

İşlev

Bu kalıp 'type 2 conditional' cümlelerde yaygındır. Gerçek olmayan bir durumun olası sonucu olan sonuçlanmamış veya devam eden bir eylem veya durum belirtir.

Örnekler

I would be working in Italy if I spoke Italian. (Ama İtalyanca konuşmuyorum, bu yüzden İtalya'da çalışmıyorum.)
She wouldn't be living with Jack if she lived with her parents. (Ama Jack ile yaşıyor, ailesi ile değil.)
You wouldn't be smiling if you knew the truth. (Ama gülümsüyorsun çünkü gerçeği bilmiyorsun.)

'Present CONTINUOUS CONDITIONAL' kipi

Herhangi bir fiilin 'present continuous conditional' kipi üç unsurdan oluşur:
would + be + durum ortacı>
Durum ortacı fiilin kökü alınarak ve -ing eklenerek oluşturulur.
