Derece zarfları

Derece zarfları bir eylemin, bir sıfatın veya başka bir zarfın yoğunluğu veya derecesi hakkında bize bilgi verir. Derece zarfları, her ne kadar aşağıda ele alınan özel durumlar olsa da, genellikle niteledikleri sıfat, zarf, veya fiilden önce gelir.

"enough"ın kullanımı

Enough hem zarf hem de belirteç olarak kullanılabilir.

Zarf olarak Enough

'Gereken dereceye kadar' anlamındaki Enough zarfı, diğer zarfların önce gelmesinin aksine, nitelediği sıfat veya zarftan sonra gelir. Hem olumlu hem de olumsuz cümleler içinde kullanılabilir.

"too"nun kullanımı

"Too" daima bir zarftır, fakat her biri kendi kullanım kalıbına sahip iki ayrı anlama sahiptir.

"very"nin kullanımı

Very bir sıfattan veya zarftan önce, onu daha fazla güçlendirmek için bulunur.

Bir sıfatın veya zarfın olumsuz halini yaratmak istiyorsak eyleme "not" ekleyebilir, zıt anlamdaki bir sıfat veya zarf kullanabilir, ya da asıl sıfat veya zarf ile beraber "not very" kullanabiliriz. Olumsuz zarflar ile devrik dizim

Genelde nesne fiilden önce gelir, ancak, bazı olumsuz zarflar cümlenin başında yer aldığında devrik dizime yol açabilir. Sıralama tersine döner ve fiil nesneden önce gelir. Devrik dizim sadece sadece yazımda kullanılır, konuşmada kullanılmaz.
