This Month’s EF Educator Monthly

Games for student centred learning

Are you one of those teachers who associates games with time wasting and childhood or are you one who makes use of structured game play in the class to add active student involvement, increase motivation and creative problem solving to the lesson? This month we are looking at games in the language classroom but not just for children. Many readers will agree that childhood was undoubtedly the time when we were all the most effective language learners but returning learners to their childhood is not something I am suggesting! I’ve drawn together ideas from different perspectives this month to give you an insight and some tips into making use of games in your language classroom.

The EF Educator Monthly is designed by and for teachers; if you have any suggestions for content or themes for future newsletters, contact the editor david.bish@ef.com
