From the moment you apply to participate in the program you start to benefit from our extensive network of support staff who will help and guide you during your journey and long after you return home.

Unique for EF is that we not only have an EF office in your home country but our partner organisation, EF Foundation, also has offices in each of our host countries.

Together with our army of 1,500 local representatives and emergency telephone numbers available 24/7, EF offers you the most comprehensive support network you could hope for.

During your exchange year the EF office in your home country is in daily contact with the EF Foundation office in your host country, keeping us updated on your progress. Your parents are always welcome to contact us with their questions or share their concerns with us.

As soon as you arrive in your host country you will be taken under the wings of one of our experienced International Exchange Co-ordinators (IEC) who will support you throughout your stay. The IEC will be your first point of contact in your host country, the first friend you will make, and will be in touch with you at least once a month.

Ultimately your host family will get to know you best. They feel responsible for you and will ensure your experience is a positive one.
