Enjoy life as a San Franciscan and ride a cable car to Fisherman’s Wharf and sample Chinese food at the largest Chinatown outside of Asia. Stroll down crooked Lombard Street, look for shopping bargains in the Mission District, and explore the counter-cultural hangouts of Haight-Ashbury. Cycle or walk over the Golden Gate Bridge for some fresh air and take in views of the famous island prison, Alcatraz. Upon reaching Sausalito, the other side of the bridge, browse the town’s local art galleries and eateries and enjoy the spectacular views of the San Francisco skyline. Encounter buffaloes in Golden Gate Park and admire the Victorian mansions of Pacific Heights, and on weekends visit the sandy beaches of Marin County or sip wine at the breathtaking vineyards of Napa Valley.
