The Role
EF Education is currently accepting applications from newly graduated candidates who want to kick-start their international careers in a young, dynamic and entrepreneurial company. We currently have an open a Financial Systems Manager position in Luzern, Switzerland. This position reports to the Financial Manager and works closely with decision makers at all levels of our business.
The Financial Systems Manager in EF Educational Tours establishes direction to achieve solutions to common business challenges, as well as to enhance internal reporting. The ideal candidate is building on 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting and has a solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls to evaluate impacts on revenue and expense cycles in a proprietary software environment. With a focus on software systems and integration to the general ledger package, this person will lead finance initiatives by coordinating and giving detailed specs to programmers. However, programming and writing queries is not expected of this role.
Additionally, this person coordinates testing of new software releases, updates the standard reporting templates for the group, and produces routine reports for the financial closes. While an accounting degree is a must, this person will also be known for their project management expertise, effective communication skills, innovative solutions, and ability to prioritize.
Requirements (All Candidates)
It is crucial that you have an academic degree in accounting / finance as well as IT coursework is a plus. To be successful in our company you also need to be highly motivated, independent, creative and team-oriented. Previous working experience in accounting or IT is an advantage. We expect good knowledge in spoken and written English and greatly value any additional language skills you may have. You need to interact with people from all over the world so we want you to have the interpersonal and communication skills needed to work in a truly multinational environment.
