The Role
EF Education is currently accepting applications from newly graduated candidates who want to kick-start their international careers in a young, dynamic and entrepreneurial company. We currently have an open entry-level position as Accountant in Luzern, Switzerland. Our Accountants work closely with decision makers at all levels of our business providing them with financial data and analysis. To be successful in this job you are constantly challenged to make full use of your experience and training.
As an Accountant you will get exposure to a wide array of tasks which will let you build your career in the direction you want. The first day on the job at EF you hit the ground running and you quickly assume individual responsibility for one or more accounting processes. As you prove your skills and acquire new ones you develop your career and increase your responsibility. Your responsibilities will include performing accounts payable functions, preparation of general ledger entries, reconciling general ledger accounts and working with our financial and production system. You will also be responsible for the preparation of internal quarterly, legal and operational closings.
Requirements (All Candidates)
It is crucial that you have an academic degree and a strong interest to work with accounting, financial- analysis and control. Our Accountants should be detail oriented, deadline driven and have an analytical mindset. To be successful in our company you also need to be highly motivated, independent, creative and team-oriented. Previous working experience in accounting is an advantage. We expect good knowledge in spoken and written English and greatly value any additional language skills you may have. You need to interact with people from all over the world so we want you to have the interpersonal and communication skills needed to work in a truly multinational environment.
