Synopsis
We are looking for a highly talented web developer, who is an expert in ASP.NET and has experience building advanced web applications to work at our head office in Switzerland. You will be part of an international web development team and will be responsible for developing and maintaining our public facing websites (www.effoundation.org and www.ef.com/highschool) and internal applications.
The role:
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
•Developing and maintaining large multi-lingual public facing websites in ASP and ASP.NET with a focus on user experience and interaction.
•Developing internal applications using ASP.NET with a focus on usability, maintenance and scalability.
•Working with MS SQL databases
•Composition of technical specifications and presentation of technical solutions.
•Implementation of interface designs with keen understanding of usability challenges.
•Working in a team environment with developers around the world.
•Technical project management.
•Communication of projects to development group.
Requirements (All Candidates)
•Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
•Minimum 3-5 years of professional software development experience
•Minimum 2-3 years developing and working with VB.NET and ASP.NET, MS SQL Server, AJAX, CSS, XHTML, DOM, JavaScript, XML/XSLT
•A passion for usability, interface design, and creativity
•A solid understanding of web standards and best practices
•An excellent understanding of information architecture
•Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements (Optional)
•Experience of multi-lingual sites is a plus
•Flash skills and knowledge of ActionScript a plus
