EF ile Honolulu'yu Keşfedin

Honolulu, ada cennetlerinin cazibesini taşıyan önemli bir uluslararası şehirdir. Muhteşem görünümlü Pasifik dalgalarında sörf yapmak, için için yanan volkanlara tırmanmak ve otantik Asya mutfağının tadına bakmak, birçok EF öğrencisinin günlük yaşantısının bir parçasıdır. Gezi ve Kültür

EF sınıflarından, kartpostallara layık Waikiki Sahiline sadece bir kaç adımda ulaşın. Diamond Head Center çevresinde yürüyüşe çıkın ve panoramik ada manzarasını izleyin. Yaklaşık 50 metrelik çarpıcı şelalesi ve de büyük bambu sazlıklarıyla Manoa Falls Trail'de ormanın iç taraflarına doğru gezintiye çıkın. Bir zamanlar Hawaii Kralının mekanı olan 'Iolani Palace'da ada krallığının izlerini takip edin.

Alışveriş

Amerika'nın en büyük açık hava alışveriş merkezlerinden biri olan Ala Moana Center'da bir öğle sonu geçirin. Waikiki Beach Walk'a dönüş yapın, çok kaliteli sanatkarların özel ürünlerinin bulunduğu son moda butikleri ve dükkanları geçin. Spor ve Açık Hava

Geziler

EF'in düzenlediği geziler sizleri, uğrak yerlerinden oldukça uzakta, dumanı tüten aktif volkanlar, ormanlık vadiler ve el değmemiş plajlarla karşılaşacağınız Mauri, Kauai, Lanai, Molokai adalarına ve de Big Island'a götürecektir.

Eğlence ve Gece Hayatı

Geleneksel Luanu festivali boyunca Hawaii'de bir gece geçirmeden ziyaretinizi bitirmeyin. Hula dansının sağa sola yalpalanan adımlarını izlerken Kalua yöntemi ile kızartılmış etleri tadın. Honolulu Hawaii gece hayatının merkez üssüdür. Honolulu şehir merkezi ve Çin Mahallesi DJ'ler ve yerel gruplar için mükemmel yer altı spotlarına sahipken, Kuhio Avenue Waikiki de bir kulüp ve dans noktasıdır.

King Kamehameha Statue Decoration Ceremony

In preparation for the King Kamehameha parade the following day, the King's statue in Honolulu's Civic Center is decorated with 13-foot floral tributes, created on site throughout the day by volunteers. Music and hula performances add to the colourful display.

King Kamehameha Celebration Floral Parade

The King Kamehameha Celebration Floral Parade is a very important annual procession in Honolulu. It sees colourful floral floats, glamorous Pa'u riders and outstanding marching bands fill the streets of Honolulu.

King Kamehameha Hula Competition

Held annually at the Blaisdell Arena, the King Kamehameha Hula Competition is an international cultural event featuring dance troupes from the mainland, Japan and Hawaii. Both traditional and contemporary styles are performed by groups in male, female and mixed categories.

The Made In Hawaii Festival

The three-day Made In Hawaii Festival is a celebration of the many and varied products of the islands, held at the Neal Blaisdell Center. Some 400 exhibitors represent Oahu, Kauai, Maui, Molokai and the Big Island.

Okinawan Festival

The Joy of Sake

The biggest sake-tasting event outside Japan arrives at the Honolulu Academy of Arts. The Joy of Sake explores over 250 different sakes, offering visitors newly released samples and appetisers. The festival also includes various talks on sake-related issues.

Hawaii, for many outsiders, conjures up images of colourful flowers, especially in the form of huge leis, or necklaces. The Aloha Festivals Floral Parade in Honolulu lives up to this reputation, celebrating the islands' abundant array of floral life.

The Sony Open

The Sony Open golf tournament is held each January at the illustrious Waialae Country Club in Hawaii. With a generous US$5.4 million purse, the champion receives US$972,000. Mark Wilson was the winner in 2011.
